EDI 852 Sales and Inventory is an informational data transmission that provides sales and inventory quantities, or product activity data. If your company is not already receiving this data, you will inevitably need to in order to keep up with your competitors. EDI is nothing to be intimidated by, it just requires someone like Masonlane who has the experience to guide you through the setup and then parse useful reports out of the raw data coming from your retailers.
852 EDI data can be used to report inventory counts and changes to that inventory at predetermined intervals. Sales by the retailer to the customer are usually the most common changes to inventory; however, other changes to inventory such as inter-store transfers, return of sold merchandise to inventory, returns to the supplier from inventory and shrinkage, can also be communicated.
Listed below are some key tracking fields that may be obtained from your retailers in which Masonlane can put into useful reports for you to analyze to make those important and critical business decisions!
